Dr. Sadaqat Ali, Project Director of DIP, laid its foundation in June 1997. We have a prolific team of highly qualified and experienced Diabetologists, Diabetes Educators, Psychologists and Counselors. Today, DIP continues to provide world-class diabetes care, education, publications and research that meet the needs of patients and their families. The Institute was founded on the belief that the key to success of diabetes treatment is with patient-empowerment with diabetes education and life style change.

DIP staffs over 80 health care professionals involved in research and education, and who collaborate with other areas within the Institute to ensure patients the best possible care. We harbor fully trained FCPS doctors who, not only, treat the disease but also work on enhancing the lifestyle of the effected. It is the country’s largest center, entirely dedicated to diabetes prevention, treatment, education, professional training, and to the relentless search for a cure. Our esteemed professionals are: Dr Imtiaz Hussan, Dr Aftab Mian, Dr Mansoor, Shoaib Nabi, Dr Iqra Sadaqat, Dr Usra Sadaqat, and Dr. Ameelia Sadaqat. Dr Imtiaz Hussan, our medical director, is recognized in the field of diabetes. He specializes in blood glucose monitoring and prevention of complications. He focuses on optimizing patient-centered care and the appropriate insulin therapy.
Since its inception, DIP has registered more than 100,000 patients who have been/ are being successfully managed. Education and counseling have made it easy for our patients; managing diabetes is no more a problem. With our patient’s active participation, we take the responsibility of bringing down their HbA1c levels to 5.5%. Diabetes is a disorder which, if managed well, does not remain a dis-ease.
